Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company: A Christmas Carol
Play, Holiday
BETC brings Charles Dickens’ holiday classic to Boulder. Adapted by Rebecca Remaly, BETC’s version of A Christmas Carol embraces this ghost story of Christmas. A story about redemption: Apathy transforms into empathy. Condemnation changes to compassion. Belligerence becomes benevolence. Fun, funny, (sometimes) frightening, and fantastic, BETC’s A Christmas Carol will remind you of the kindness and compassion that lives in us all.

The Christmas Revels: A Midwinter Night’s Revels
Holiday Music
Rocky Mountain Revels will again take the stage at the Gordon Gamm Theater to drive the dark away and celebrate the return of the light, as we sing and dance celebrating the Winter Solstice and Christmas. We will be joined by the Boulder Renaissance Consort and members of Solis in songs both profound and profane. Our look at secular and sacred music of the Elizabethan Era features madrigals, rounds, catches AND Revels favorites like Lord of the Dance, Sussex Mummers Carol, and the Shortest Day. This year Shakespeare, in a fit of rage, has decided to burn his manuscripts. Just before being consigned to the flames, his characters appear for one valiant attempt at saving his plays and, incidentally, their lives. See if Toby, Puck, Macbeth, and the rest convince him to let them live in an evening of revelry that will leave you humming until the daylight returns.
